You’ve Got to Know When to Hold ‘Em, Know When to Fold ‘Em at the TMA’s 9th Annual Texas Hold ‘Em Networking Event

On October 11, almost 70 local turnaround professionals put down their briefcases and picked up their poker chips during the Chapter’s 9th Annual Texas Hold ‘Em Networking Event, sponsored by the Future Leaders Committee and held at Maggiano’s Little Italy in the River North neighborhood. Prior to the main event, participants conversed with each other over cocktails for almost an hour, catching up with old friends and networking with new acquaintances.

As Rick Barfield of First Business Capital Corp. asked participants to take their seats, wide grins were quickly replaced with stoic poker faces. “The evening was truly incredible,” added Jonathan Weinberg of Mesirow Financial Consulting. “This particular event brings together a unique blend of professionals from all ends of the restructuring industry.” In the end, when the final cards had been dealt, Jeffrey Scott of Cerberus Capital Chicago emerged victorious, winning the highly sought after gift card to Gibson’s Bar & Steakhouse. Special thanks go to Michelle Fowler and Julie Heinzel of the TMA chapter office for their help overseeing the event.
